All the 1 star reviews about perfomance issues please check you system specs before bashing the platform. If your having lag issues on volume spike like market open or close make sure you have the RECOMMEND processor and RAM. The 10.X version requires significantly more power than the older 9.6 version.
That being said. The new version is great. Finally have options summary, trading from chart. Adjust gain/loss for wash sales. Back testing, albeit only on covered calls but its improving.
Charts are good, though the indicators take a lot of screen space which can be a slight annoyance.
Ability to customize layout and have 20 windows.
I love this platform and while it does require a faster computer (but what doesn't these days) it is far better than 9.6

I like ATP. The quotes are really great, and I have a chart displayed at the same time so I can go beyond just seeing what the stock is doing but am able to see the big picture, I'm a scholar of Japanese Candlestick Charting. I go in at the opening and review Fidelity % gainers and prospects I've picked up from other websites, maybe 7 or 8 stocks. It's comprehensive, everything you want to know is there for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tommyboy46 It's GREAT !!
I use ATP every day. I monitor the market and my stock portfolio in relation to the markets. I use many of the features the site has to offer, like, charting, research, and trading. In the charting function, I play around with length of time, moving average indicators, bollinger bands, and RSI, just to name a few. There is still so much more for me to learn about the site and I am looking forward to further exploring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by hblack3 Excellent product
I have used Bloomberg since inception (I actually used Quotron before that but don't tell anybody). I moved to an Investment Adviser role in the last 6 mos and do not have access to BB anymore. I didn't think I could live without it until I tried Active Trader Pro. Your product is excellent. I speak w/ you desk about 2X a week with suggestions. For me the areas to improve which would be most helpful to me would be in portfolio analytics ex. ability to do monthly "marks" and return analysis based on those, incorporating dividends into returns, basic asset allocation pie charts etc.. Otherwise you are on a super track and I especially like the responsiveness of your help desk. The men and woman there are great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Spider Tom Outstanding trading platform
I have been using ATP since it was first introduced and every upgrade has far exceeded my expectations. The present version allows easy trading of some complicated trades and options.
I love Trade Armor!!!!!. Instead of having to enter two orders for OCO to protect your down side and still allowing some upside.
Technical response has always been excellent.
Thanks Fidelity ATP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ArizonaAl Easy access to tools
ATP provides easy access to the outstanding array of Fidelity analysis tools, external reports, and current market activity. This is in addition to comprehensive tools for tracking individual and aggregate account information and performance. The capabilities for trading and the performance of the trading system are excellent. In spite of all its capabilities, it is generally easy to navigate as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ken430TX Great Improvement to Prior Versions
I use ATP daily. As a retiree, I generate income to supplement our retirement, so I am an active trader. I like the ease and speed of trading and the simplicity of the screens. I also like the Trade Armor product which gives me insight into various positions and what levels I should expect to trade at.
I also like the ability to customize screens. I set my screen up to reflect my favorite stocks, and positions. It works flawlessly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Artie You Are Making It Worse!
For my money, ATP tries to do too much & fails to provide easy access to the main features. Its slow & cumbersome. Its difficult to access, especially the web version, which many of us have to use now that it won't run on WinXP. The chart feature is practically useless -- Fidelity Advanced Charts are much superior.
For those of us who don't want to buy new computers, please provide a stripped down version that has the basic functions of order screen (very useful for showing all orders in all accounts on one screen), watch lists, trading screens, research, & news.
If you will not do that, at least make it easier to access the slow web version with 1 click instead of hunting around for the log-in page.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dwaine ATP software - lacking
As of March 27, 2015:
- software locks up/crashes. Guess I'll have to re-install.
- slow to load up. One would think it is a heavy graphics program which needs vast amounts of memory space, when...there are no real graphics, just text/numbers.
- ugly to look at. lol - 3 screen colors (black, white & blue) to choose from. Can't customize fonts, add colors, etc. The look reminds one of a 1970's CRT workstation.
- doesn't stream foreign exchange stocks. Doesn't even have a refresh button that the websiteFidelity.com has.
In short, sorely lacking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BobinSF ATP Version 10.X is terrible
Fidelity had a great platform for many years:
Active Trader Pro (Desktop) up through version 9.X.
But they ruined it in April 2014 when support for 9.X was discontinued and forced us to use version 10.X
Every time I try to use version 10 I get frustrated as none of the keyboard shortcuts work, it's really hard to organize the windows in a workable way, and overall it is just very unfriendly from a user standpoint. The current version looks like it was made by programmers for programmers. What I hate is that Fidelity had a perfectly wonderful platform in ATP 9.x and they gave us this piece of junk instead.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BM Missing some basics
I have accounts with several other brokerages and use their comparable platforms. Of the three, this is the least intuitive to use. Some of the features that you think would be available include an option to reinvest dividends on a simple equity purchase. Really difficult to do this with Fidelity except automatically for the full account, not from active trader. I was frustrated that there was no way to put a stop to close all shares when there were fractional shares from dividends, but on one of the stocks that stopped out, they sold the fractional shares automatically so it isn't quite as bad as I thought. You often lose custom layouts you have taken time to develop after a program update. Charts don't seem to have a option to show purchase price and stops for current account positions (can see some on the trade armor chart, but that one is difficult to use and resize). Had problems with saving a chart style on one tab and the timing changes if you change it on another tab so you have to watch close to really know what time frame you are looking at for trends . The charts do have better readability for comparison charts and line colors and types can be modified which isn't the case on some of the other platforms. If you only use Fidelity, it isn't bad, but I find myself going to other platforms that are easier to use and then open it and use it on days I am ready to trade. Has lots of room for improvement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by windy No definite help in resolving problems
10.4 is very unstable which can't do math. A problem with communication online give false date on all watch lists. The customer help is horrible with no direct idea when problems are going to be fixed. I have used this program for 6 years and each version since the first is getting worse. I have not research other software but now forced to change. I have been writing software since 1976. I don't know why I can't find people complaining about this software anywhere online. Ther should be independent sites complaining.

Rated 1 out of 5 by myway9.0 Forced upgrade
I have no need for the bells and whistles of version 10 for my 250+ trades/year. A simple platform is all I require - have been using ATP for many years until they abandoned XP support. Tired of always being forced to upgrade because some IT and marketing types seeking a Pulitzer.

But it is not MAC OS compatible and requires the web browser version. The app. is a very rich graphical busy program that is best suited for client app. installations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Casey3339 Please bring back version 9.6
I have been using ATP for over 10 years. For the life of me I cannot imagine why Fidelity would introduce a product "upgrade" that is so inferior to the previous product #ver. 9.6#.
Now, of course, 9.6 needed to evolve but the 10 series takes the platform to place that I think may not be "fixable".
I was an active trader but am not now. There are so many issues with the ergonomics of using the 10 series that I cannot list them all here. Here are a few of the lowlights: charting is nearly unusable, multi-trade execution is very cumbersome, you can't have a particular layout default to the particular device that you might be using #i.e., desktop vs laptop#. I could go on and on but suffice to say that the only reason that I am still with Fidelity at this point in time is that their services #ex-ATP# are great.
Unfortunately, this will eventually have to lead to moving to a new vendor for trading. It's a shame because version 9.6 was a very nice platform to use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by TonyR Trade armour & charting in general
Used the ATP 10.3 version for some time on my x61 ThinkPad Microsoft 7 pro 64 and worked well and continues to work OK.
Was also working ok on my newer ThinkPad x220 Microsoft 7 pro 64 but recently something changed and stopped graphing. Also noticed my X220 is running ATP 10.4 and tried the web and downloaded version of ATP and reloaded many times. Everything works ok but the graphing is blank on Trade Armour and the graphing option does not respond with correct date parameters. also doesn't allow me to change it to the current date. Basically the graphing is not functional. Spoke to the on-line help and they tried hard but gave up and suggested I call the phone help. The phone help asked me to reloaded Win Net framework and all the recent Microsoft updates and made sure everything was current but nothing helped and same problems with graph continued. I don't want to give up but not sure what to try anymore.
Any help with this graphing problem would be appreciated.

Quote box does not hold enough symbols.
Too many clicks to draw a trendline.
Charts are much, much too slow to change to a different stock.
"Save Changes" does not save anything.
I gave it 1 star because I was not able to give no stars.
Has all the fireworks, no basics.

worked fine before. Now it doesn't work at all with active_trader_pro.com. The downloaded software loads faster but is the same except now I have to reset up my platform views; however, my graph settings did transfer with the new downloaded version. Overall, seems like some hassles for not a lot of benefits.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rschletty Silverlight issues – Mac Mavericks
I am able to run the online version of ATP in Firefox and Safari on my MacBook Pro running Mavericks. Silverlight no longer loads in Mac version of Google Chrome (vs. 40). To get Silverlight to load for ATP in Safari, you have to add scs.fidelity.com to Preferences: Security: Internet Plug-ins: Silverlight and then set it to "Run in Unsafe Mode." Before I did this, I was getting a white screen as Safari tried to load ATP. Fidelity needs to rebuild Active Trader Pro with HTML 5. Silverlight is on its way out.

I have had this problem since ATP new version was released. I have stopped phoning and explaining after multiple calls over multiple months.
When I add a symbol to a list that starts with 47 symbols and hit "apply" it takes 4- 5 minutes for the new list, now with 48 symbols, to appear.
