Rated 5 out of 5 by Ben Great Platform
All the 1 star reviews about perfomance issues please check you system specs before bashing the platform. If your having lag issues on volume spike like market open or close make sure you have the RECOMMEND processor and RAM. The 10.X version requires significantly more power than the older 9.6 version.
That being said. The new version is great. Finally have options summary, trading from chart. Adjust gain/loss for wash sales. Back testing, albeit only on covered calls but its improving.
Charts are good, though the indicators take a lot of screen space which can be a slight annoyance.
Ability to customize layout and have 20 windows.
I love this platform and while it does require a faster computer (but what doesn't these days) it is far better than 9.6

I like ATP. The quotes are really great, and I have a chart displayed at the same time so I can go beyond just seeing what the stock is doing but am able to see the big picture, I'm a scholar of Japanese Candlestick Charting. I go in at the opening and review Fidelity % gainers and prospects I've picked up from other websites, maybe 7 or 8 stocks. It's comprehensive, everything you want to know is there for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tommyboy46 It's GREAT !!
I use ATP every day. I monitor the market and my stock portfolio in relation to the markets. I use many of the features the site has to offer, like, charting, research, and trading. In the charting function, I play around with length of time, moving average indicators, bollinger bands, and RSI, just to name a few. There is still so much more for me to learn about the site and I am looking forward to further exploring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by hblack3 Excellent product
I have used Bloomberg since inception (I actually used Quotron before that but don't tell anybody). I moved to an Investment Adviser role in the last 6 mos and do not have access to BB anymore. I didn't think I could live without it until I tried Active Trader Pro. Your product is excellent. I speak w/ you desk about 2X a week with suggestions. For me the areas to improve which would be most helpful to me would be in portfolio analytics ex. ability to do monthly "marks" and return analysis based on those, incorporating dividends into returns, basic asset allocation pie charts etc.. Otherwise you are on a super track and I especially like the responsiveness of your help desk. The men and woman there are great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Spider Tom Outstanding trading platform
I have been using ATP since it was first introduced and every upgrade has far exceeded my expectations. The present version allows easy trading of some complicated trades and options.
I love Trade Armor!!!!!. Instead of having to enter two orders for OCO to protect your down side and still allowing some upside.
Technical response has always been excellent.
Thanks Fidelity ATP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ArizonaAl Easy access to tools
ATP provides easy access to the outstanding array of Fidelity analysis tools, external reports, and current market activity. This is in addition to comprehensive tools for tracking individual and aggregate account information and performance. The capabilities for trading and the performance of the trading system are excellent. In spite of all its capabilities, it is generally easy to navigate as well.

product has great response times, you create your own screens and time frames. Order entry is quick. Streaming market data is great and Time and Sales is good. The product is top of the line for everyday traders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ken430TX Great Improvement to Prior Versions
I use ATP daily. As a retiree, I generate income to supplement our retirement, so I am an active trader. I like the ease and speed of trading and the simplicity of the screens. I also like the Trade Armor product which gives me insight into various positions and what levels I should expect to trade at.
I also like the ability to customize screens. I set my screen up to reflect my favorite stocks, and positions. It works flawlessly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by G_Lee56 Not really a trading platform
The ATP is really a glorified version of the "advanced charting" found on Fidelity's site under the Research tab. You have limited data to work with, especially if you need to find turning points on smaller time frames that extend further into the past. While offering some conveniences, it is pretty much a more colorful version of the boring charts and trade entries found on the regular web site. Insofar as conditional trading is concerned, you are limited to what Fidelity deems sufficient for your needs- you can't exit based on MAs, you can't pick multiple exits based on price, you can't enter a trade upon a confirmation target #i.e., a price higher than what is currently posted for a stock/ETF#, you can't alter prices of a multiple leg trade unless first cancelling the remaining conditional legs and re-entering another trade, you can't expand/contract the size of a candle for more resolution. - it's really a very limited trading platform and lacks the power of much more sophisticated systems.

Rated 2 out of 5 by dstep2650 Needs Mac version
It's very difficult to get ATP running on a Mac. Obviously, with no Mac software version the browser version is the only route. Running ATP on Firefox (one of the only possibilities) give me terrible performance. - moving windows and scrolling menu items is very very laggy. The ATP website utilizes Microsoft Silverlight an old technology. Silverlight is so bad Google Chrome block all sites utilizing this technology. I encourage Fidelity to address these issues and both write a Mac version of the desktop software and update the website to HTML5 (eliminate Silverlight).

It is fast easy and versatile. The ability to switch from stock to stock, to options or have them all at the same time make it very quick to see what you want. I am just learning some of the option tools but have used them enough to see the help in evaluation and trading advantage. The presentation is easily customizable with terrific contrast and readability. I enjoy using at home, work and on the go.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Vlad Good application, bad implementation
I'm professional SQA tester and in my opinion ATP10 poorly tested or not tested at all.
So many easy to find bugs on every screen and many critical bugs belong to main functional areas, e.g.:
-data not updated on some screens like Intraday buying power (I don't know if I can buy more), Unadjasted Purchase/Gain,no Unadjasted Gain Total in Close positions(I have to calculate it manually in order to see my daily Gain/Loss)
-if you change/save chart you have do it again on all instances of the same charts (same name) in all layouts.
- if you open 5-6 charts (minimum for active trading) on the monitor indicators not visible because chart area too small, but legend area too big.
-news is total mess, e.g. news type filter Rating Upgr/Downgr is under personal Finance, Futures is under Real Estate, you cannot filter out today's news.
ATP crashes almost every day on my new PC.
I submitted about 200 bugs since ATP 10, spent tens of hrs with support team, but nothing fixed, only new bugs introduced every new upgrade.
ATP is good application, but bad implementation.
Currently I think about switching from Fidelity to different broker because a lot of frustration in using ATP.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bill Does not work on Mac Air
Fidelity seems to have several issues with Apple products. First, I can never log into my account with the "remember me" feature as it always says my password is wrong. If I type both my log in ID and password again, I can get into their system.
When I try to get into Active Trader Pro, I just get a blank screen.
These are silly issues to have in this day and age.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Steve Doesn't work on MacBook Pro
I have had little luck getting ATP to run on my MacBook Pro, it loads to 99% and then the screen just goes white. It did work a few months ago for a short period of time, but it has since not worked and I don't understand why Fidelity can't get a version of this to work properly on a Mac? It's as if they just don't care about their customers by not supporting this platform on a Mac. Very disappointed with Fidelity on this matter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by thinkorswim? MAC Unfriendly
When will Fidelity come out with a version of ATP that is compatible with MAC? I have written to customer service in the past with this question. I see many poor reviews due solely to this issue. The response to this is "try activetraderpro.com" the web-based version. This too is NOT a viable option for MAC users. This problem is getting old and will soon be intolerable

Rated 1 out of 5 by GWB2344 ATP.com not ready for Chrome?
This browser has become an overwhelming success; huge number of users instead of MSIE. Seems to me that Fidelity came up short in not providing the capability! Despite your high TV ad budget, you still do not have this update investment. Years, and still waiting.

If you're on a Mac, your in trouble. Call and complain. Silverlite/Microsoft absolutely SUCK!!!!....if you have a Mac.
Not only can I NOT use Active Trader, (or any tools) but I often must reset password in order to log in. Time consuming and very frustrating!
FIX it, or my family's four accounts are going somewhere else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by vincekg Poor, VERY Poor Product
I would not recommend this. It is not dependable - freezes near market close, it lacks features - can not accept two spread orders on the same stock and since it can not do even the simplest trades it is NOT an active trader tool.
I am moving money to any other broker so that at least I can execute a trade at 3:45 on a Friday afternoon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Socrates Poor step backward from great previous version
Why did Fidelity move from a great, simple, user-friendly, full-featured version to this Rube Goldberg turkey?
The old desktop version was rock solid, allowed more trader information and was fast and easy to use.
So what were they thinking when the replaced a great product with a much poorer product? This is cumbersome, slow, depends on plug-ins, and is unintuitive...
