In this recorded webinar, we discussed technical analysis as a tool for all types of traders and investors to find and evaluate trade ideas. Peter Ashton, VP Retail and Self-Directed Investing, Recognia started with a review of Recognia’s event driven approach to technical analysis and the major types of events and their meanings. We looked at how Fidelity account holders can leverage Recognia technical events in their research using the new Fidelity stock and ETF screeners. These new screeners allow more flexible application of technical events by allowing users to see which events are active against their list of screener matches. Finally, Cale Beardon, Regional Brokerage Consultant, Fidelity Investments looked at some of the pre-set screens created by industry experts including Recognia.
Technical analysis focuses on market action — specifically, volume and price. Technical analysis is only one approach to analyzing stocks. When considering which stocks to buy or sell, you should use the approach that you're most comfortable with. As with all your investments, you must make your own determination as to whether an investment in any particular security or securities is right for you based on your investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial situation. Past performance is no guarantee of future results.
