Lesson 1 is divided into four parts that cover the ins and outs of income, from different ways of earning money to negotiating a raise. You'll meet a teen business owner, talk through the gender wage gap, and identify the skills you have (or want to grow) as you think about future jobs and your career.

By the end of this lesson, you'll both know:

  1. Different ways to earn money
  2. The gender wage gap and ways to overcome it
  3. How to identify your hard and soft skills and capitalize on them
  4. How to negotiate a raise and advocate for yourself
