Investment Options for Fidelity Personal Retirement Annuity®

As a deferred variable annuity, Fidelity Personal Retirement Annuity® (FPRA) allows you to choose from Fidelity-managed investments or build your own portfolio.

Option 1: A professionally managed, single-fund solution

FPRA gives you access to automatic diversification* and professional money management from the experts at Fidelity. Choose one of these types of Variable Insurance Product (VIP) single-fund solutions:

Choose by risk-tolerance.
Designed for investors looking for a professionally-managed, diversified portfolio that is based on their tolerance level for risk.

Choose by target date.
Designed for investors expecting to retire around the year of each fund's name. Each portfolio's asset allocation becomes increasingly conservative as it approaches the target date and beyond, until it ultimately merges with Fidelity VIP Investor Freedom IncomeSM, which is designed for those in retirement.

Option 2: Choose your own funds

Build your own portfolio.
If you have chosen FPRA and you have the time and interest to develop and maintain an investment strategy for yourself, you can choose from an array of over 55 Fidelity and non-Fidelity funds.

We offer powerful tools and resources to help you research, select, and monitor your annuity investments.

*Diversification does not ensure a profit or protect against a loss in a declining market.
Performance for the Fidelity VIP Investor Freedom Fund Portfolios depends on that of their underlying Fidelity VIP Funds, and for Fidelity VIP FundsManager Portfolios, their underlying Fidelity or Fidelity VIP Funds. These portfolios are subject to the volatility of the financial markets in the U.S. and abroad, and may be subject to the additional risks associated with investing in high-yield, commodity-linked, small-cap, and foreign securities.
