Here are 2 options to establish a direct connection between your Fidelity account and Coinbase to continue to move money.
Option 1: Link to your Fidelity debit card.
- Tap the 9 dots in the top left corner.
- At top of screen, tap Your Name, Profile & Settings.
- Tap Add a Payment Method. Tap Debit Card.
- Enter Billing Address and submit.
- Enter card details and click Add Card.
- You will be asked to check your Fidelity card’s activity for 2 pending Coinbase small deposits. If there are more than 2 deposits, enter the 2 largest amounts. These deposits will be canceled.
- Open your Fidelity app and scroll to your account that has a debit card.
- Get the 2 amounts posted and enter them in the Coinbase app. Click Verify Card.
Card will now show in your Payment Methods as PNC or Leader Bank, Fidelity's debit card issuers.
Option 2: Link directly to your Fidelity account number.
- Visit your Payment Methods.
- Select Add a payment method > Bank Account.
- When the notification window opens, select X to close the window.
- From the subsequent "unsuccessful" window, select Manually link bank account.
- Follow the prompts to enter the account details, including your name (this must match the verified name on your Coinbase account for Coinbase.com), the type of account, and the account and routing numbers, then select the option to verify the account. Two small test deposits will be made to your bank account (they usually reach your account in 2–3 business days). Verify the amounts by selecting Verify for your bank account on the Payment Methods page. Only enter the “cents” portion of the amounts. For example, if the amounts on your bank statement are $1.10 and $1.20, enter:
- 10
- 20
Once the account is linked, you can initiate your first buy. You can also use your linked bank account to receive funds from sell orders or cash-outs from your US dollar balance.
