Depositing money

  • How can I deposit money into Fidelity Crypto® accounts?

Depositing money into your Fidelity Crypto® account or Fidelity Crypto® IRA starts with the brokerage account that is linked to your crypto trading account. Use your brokerage account's money movement features (like EFT, wire, or check) to deposit your money, then move the money into your linked crypto trading account.

  • What money can I move to my Fidelity Crypto® account?

All collected and settled cash and most processed EFT deposits in your linked brokerage account can be moved to your Fidelity Crypto® account. For large deposits, a portion might be subject to a hold before it can be moved. You can't move a margin balance to Fidelity Crypto®. Check the "Available for Fidelity Crypto®" balance when you're moving money.

  • When is a deposit into my funding account available for transfer to my Fidelity Crypto® account?

When you deposit money from an outside bank into the funding account you've linked to your Fidelity Crypto® account, it can take 1 to 3 business days for that deposit to be processed and ready to move to your Fidelity Crypto® account. For large deposits, a portion might be subject to a hold before it can be moved. Check the "Available for Fidelity Crypto®" balance when you're moving money.

  • Can I move money to my Fidelity Crypto® account with an active money transfer lockdown?

To move money to your Fidelity Crypto® account or Fidelity Crypto® IRA, money transfer lockdown must be disabled. After disabling the lockdown, log out of the Fidelity Investments® app and then log back in to move your money.
