How do I open a Fidelity Crypto® IRA if I’m already a Fidelity customer?

Open a Fidelity Crypto® IRA using Fidelity.com by following these steps:

(If you’re working with a non-Fidelity advisor, contact your advisor to open your account.)

  1. Log in and select “OPEN AN ACCOUNT” from the menu at the top.
  2. Select “See all accounts” and then choose “Trade crypto” in the filter and “Apply.” Select “Open an account.”
  3. Choose your IRA type and select “Next” and then “Get started.”
  4. Choose to link to an existing Fidelity brokerage IRA (if eligible) or to a new Fidelity brokerage IRA for funding.
  5. Review the agreements and your personal information, and then select “Open account.”

Open a Fidelity Crypto® IRA using the Fidelity Investments® app by following these steps:

  1. Download and open the Fidelity Investments® app (or make sure you have the latest version) and log in.
  2. Select the “Transact” icon and choose “Open an account.”
  3. Choose “Crypto” and select “Next.”
  4. Under Fidelity Crypto® for IRAs, choose your IRA type and select “Get started.”
  5. Select an eligible Fidelity brokerage IRA or open a new Fidelity brokerage IRA to link as a funding account.
  6. Enter your personal information.
  7. Review the agreements and your personal information, and then select “Open my account.”
