Strategic Advisers, Inc.

At Fidelity, our managed account strategies are managed by Strategic Advisers, Inc., a registered investment adviser and a Fidelity Investments company. With over 130 investment professionals, the team seeks to provide investment management and solutions to help investors achieve their financial goals.

Bruce T. Herring, CFA®

  • PRESIDENT
  • JOINED FIDELITY: 1987

As president, Bruce Herring has overall responsibility for Fidelity's retail and workplace managed accounts, wealth planning and personal trust offerings, and guidance and planning methodologies. Mr. Herring has been with Fidelity since 1987 and, prior to assuming his current role in June 2015, he was group chief investment officer for the Global Asset Allocation division from 2013 to 2015, where he oversaw the Target Allocation, Target Risk, Global Institutional Solutions and Managed Accounts strategies. He also held assignments as group CIO of the Equity division, director of research for Fidelity Tokyo, director of U.S. equity research, portfolio manager for U.S. equity funds, and a research analyst. He earned his bachelor of science degree in finance and investment from Babson College.

Jim Cracraft

As managing director, portfolio engineering, Jim Cracraft oversees the portfolio construction and trading for Fidelity's managed account offerings, which include Fidelity® Personalized Portfolios, Fidelity Wealth Advisory Services, Fidelity Portfolio Advisory Service®, and Fidelity® Portfolio Advisory Service at Work. Prior to joining Fidelity in 2007, he served as vice president, director of quantitative insights at Citigroup Private Bank, and quantitative analyst at Citigroup Asset Management. He also worked as an aerospace engineer and software developer. Mr. Cracraft received his bachelor of science degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Colorado, his master of science degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Southern California.

P. Brian Enyeart, CFA®

As chief investment officer, Brian Enyeart is responsible for overseeing the Fidelity Portfolio Advisory Service®, Fidelity® Personalized Portfolios, and Fidelity® Portfolio Advisory Service at Work investment teams. Since joining Fidelity in 2006, Mr. Enyeart's roles have included head of quantitative research, managing director and chief investment officer, in London and Boston. Mr. Enyeart is the former director of quantitative research at Citigroup Asset Management and worked with equity market models and software development at BARRA, Inc. Mr. Enyeart received a bachelor of arts degree in political science and business from Vanderbilt University and a master of arts degree in finance from Golden Gate University.

Robert Macdonald, CFA®

Robert (Bob) Macdonald is senior vice president, director of financial solutions and is responsible for the investment profiling methodology used to supply asset allocation recommendations for clients in Fidelity managed accounts. Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Macdonald was senior vice president and portfolio manager of structured equity investments at Fidelity Management and Research Company where he managed retail and institutional equity portfolios; and vice president and portfolio manager within Fidelity Management Trust Company. Mr. Macdonald received a bachelor of arts degree in finance from the University of South Florida and a master of business administration degree in finance from Boston University.

Christopher Fusé

Christopher Fusé is portfolio manager and head of the Fidelity® Personalized Portfolios Investment Committee. He is also responsible for various asset allocation decisions and for setting tax policy. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Fusé served as portfolio manager, head of investment management starting in 2009. Previously, Mr. Fusé was an investment manager/senior investment manager/director of investment management from 1998 to 2009. Prior to that, he held various other roles with Fidelity from 1991 to 1998, including that of account executive, account associate, and sales associate. Mr. Fusé has a bachelor of science in business administration degree in economics and finance from Xavier University.

Larry Rakers

  • PORTFOLIO MANAGER
  • JOINED FIDELITY: 1993

Larry Rakers is a portfolio manager and serves as the lead asset allocation portfolio manager for Fidelity Portfolio Advisory Service®. He also works closely with the lead portfolio managers for Fidelity® Personalized Portfolios and Fidelity® Portfolio Advisory at Work to ensure asset allocation consistency. Prior to assuming his current position in January 2014, Mr. Rakers was a portfolio manager at Fidelity Management & Research Company. From 2008 to 2013, Mr. Rakers managed the Fidelity Dividend Growth Fund, Fidelity Advisor Dividend Growth Fund, VIP Balanced Fund, and Pyramis SAI Core Dividend Growth Fund. Prior to that, Mr. Rakers managed Fidelity Advisor Balanced Fund from 2005 to 2008, Fidelity Balanced Fund from 2002 to 2008, and Fidelity Convertible Securities Fund from 2001 to 2002. Previously, he worked as an analyst covering various industries and managing multiple funds from 1993 to 2001. Before joining Fidelity in 1993, Mr. Rakers was a project engineer at Loral Corporation from 1986 to 1993. Mr. Rakers earned his bachelor of science and master of science degrees in metallurgical engineering from the University of Illinois and his master of business administration degree from Northeastern University.
