Meet the Investment Management Team

The investment management team at Fidelity Investment Money Management, Inc. (FIMM) is responsible for actively constructing and managing the Fidelity® Core Bond Strategy and the Fidelity® Intermediate Municipal Strategy.

The investment team at FIMM, which benefits from the long history and experience of Fidelity, will construct the portfolio, making the day-to-day investment and trading decisions for the account. Our proprietary research approach, combined with the ability to research thousands of securities across the investment-grade bond universe, enables us to actively research and evaluate bonds to uncover hidden opportunities in different types of markets. Our careful market analysis enables us to build diversified bond strategies that include a range of issuers, regions, sectors, and maturities as we seek to generate income while managing risk.

Eric Golden, CFA®

As the managing director and portfolio manager of personal bond management in Fidelity's fixed income division, Eric Golden is responsible for the portfolio construction, management, and risk oversight of fixed income separately managed retail accounts as well as a series of institutional strategies. Since joining Fidelity in 2004, Mr. Golden has held various other roles within the fixed income division, including research analyst, associate research analyst, and research associate. In these positions, he was responsible for covering not-for-profit hospitals, senior living, utilities, transportation, and tobacco credits for bond and money market funds. Mr. Golden earned his Bachelor of Science degree in corporate finance and accounting, with a minor in information technology, from Bentley University. He is a CFA® Charterholder.

Michael Danaher, CFA®

As a portfolio analyst in Fidelity's fixed income division, Michael Danaher is responsible for the implementation and execution of the investment strategy for Fidelity's fixed income separately managed retail accounts. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Danaher was a research associate covering state and local governments across the country. Before joining Fidelity in 2013, he worked as a trader trainee intern at Louis Dreyfus Commodities and as an intern at the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center at Dartmouth College. Mr. Danaher earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, with a minor in public policy, from Dartmouth College. He is a CFA® Charterholder.

Eric Graham, CFA®

As a portfolio analyst in Fidelity's fixed income division, Eric Graham is responsible for the implementation and execution of the investment strategy for Fidelity's fixed income separately managed retail accounts. Since joining Fidelity full time in 2000, Mr. Graham has held various other roles within the fixed income division, including research analyst for Fidelity's municipal money market and municipal bond mutual funds, taxable money market trader, research associate, and software engineer. Mr. Graham earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance and information systems from Boston College. He is a CFA® Charterholder.

John Melvin, CFA®

As a portfolio analyst in Fidelity's fixed income division, John Melvin is responsible for the implementation and execution of the investment strategy for Fidelity's fixed income separately managed retail accounts. Prior to assuming his current position in September 2018, Mr. Melvin worked on the taxable and municipal research teams, covering a variety of sectors. Before joining Fidelity in 2014, Mr. Melvin worked as a commercial real estate credit analyst at Everbank, and as an intern in the operations department at the Federated Investors. He has been in the financial industry since 2013. Mr. Melvin earned his bachelor of arts degree in mathematics and economics from Dartmouth College. He is a CFA® charterholder

Steven Crooks, PhD

As a quantitative analyst in Fidelity's fixed income division, Steven Crooks is responsible for quantitative modeling initiatives in support of the fixed income separately managed retail account investment process. Before joining Fidelity in 2005, he worked as director of ALPHATECH's signal processing. In this capacity, he managed a group of 19 engineers and software developers in the defense industry. Mr. Crooks earned his Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and his PhD in theoretical plasma physics from the University of California.
