Peter Coffin

Peter Coffin is president and portfolio manager at Breckinridge Capital Advisors, a Boston-based fixed income investment manager with over $35 billion in assets under management. Peter has over 35 years of experience in the investment industry. Before founding Breckinridge in 1993, Peter was a Senior Vice President with Massachusetts Financial Services (MFS), where he managed municipal bond portfolios and served on the MFS Fixed Income Policy Committee. As a committee member, he shared oversight of all the firm's fixed income strategies. Peter began his career as an analyst, first in the Bond and Money Market group of the Connecticut National Bank, and then in Aetna's Bond Investment division. Peter received a B.A. with honors in classical studies from Hamilton College in 1982 and serves on the college's Board of Trustees.

Laura Lake, CFA

Laura is Breckinridge's chief investment officer. She sits on the firm's Executive Committee and heads the Investment Committee. Under Laura's leadership, Breckinridge's Investment Committee determines market outlook and directs the firm's investment strategy. Laura joined the firm in 2017 as director of investment strategy and assumed her current role in 2018. She has over 20 years of industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, she was a senior portfolio manager at Standish responsible for managing multi-sector portfolios for insurance companies. Laura holds a B.A. in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.S. in finance from London Business School and is a CFA® charterholder

Matthew C. Buscone

Matt, executive vice president, is co-head of portfolio management. He sits on the firm's Investment Committee where he is jointly responsible for setting the firm's investment outlook and the translation into portfolio strategy. Matt is also a member of the Executive Committee. In his role, Matt oversees the management of the firm's tax-efficient bond portfolios. Matt joined Breckinridge in 2002 as a trader and transitioned to portfolio management in 2008. He has over 25 years of industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Matt was a tax-exempt trader at Mellon Private Asset Management. Matt holds a B.A. in economics from Bryant College.

Sara Chanda

Sara, senior vice president, is a portfolio manager at Breckinridge. She is a member of the firm's Investment Committee where she is jointly responsible for setting the firm's investment outlook and the translation into portfolio strategy. She is also a member of the firm's Sustainability Committee. In her role, Sara is responsible for the day-to-day management and monitoring of client portfolios. Sara joined Breckinridge in 2010 as a trader and transitioned to portfolio management in 2013. She has over 19 years of industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Sara was a vice president and trader at Eaton Vance Management where she traded various specialty state mutual funds. In addition, she oversaw trading and operations for Eaton Vance's separately managed accounts, focusing on systems automation projects. She holds a B.S. in business administration from Providence College and an MBA from the Boston University School of Management.

Ji Young Jung, CFA

Ji Young, senior vice president, is a portfolio manager at Breckinridge and head of Breckinridge's San Diego office. She is a member of the firm's Risk Committee and Sustainability Committee. In her role, Ji Young is responsible for the day-to-day management and monitoring of client portfolios and bridges the Boston and San Diego offices to maintain seamless communication between coasts. Ji Young joined Breckinridge in 2010 as a research analyst and transitioned to portfolio management in 2012. She has over 12 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the firm, Ji Young was a credit analyst in the Public Finance Group at Assured Guaranty Ltd. where she evaluated various tax-backed and revenue-supported debt obligations.. Ji Young holds a B.A. in political science from Yale University and is a CFA® charterholder.

Eric Haase, CFA

Eric, vice president, is a portfolio manager for Breckinridge. In his role, Eric is responsible for the day-to-day management and monitoring of client portfolios. Eric joined the firm in January 2016 and has over 14 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Eric was a portfolio manager for SCS Financial, where he focused on managing tax-exempt separate accounts as well as conducting manager research across fixed income sectors. He holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is a CFA® charterholder.

Allyson Gerrish

Allyson, vice president, is a portfolio manager at Breckinridge. In her role, Allyson is responsible for the day-to-day management and monitoring of client portfolios. Allyson has been with the firm since 2018 and has over 10 years of industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, she was a portfolio manager at Columbia Threadneedle Investments where she managed institutional and SMA accounts. Allyson holds a B.S.B.A. from Suffolk University, as well as an MBA and an MSF from Northeastern University.

Adam Stern

Adam, senior vice president, is co-head of research at Breckinridge. He is a member of the firm's Investment Committee where he is jointly responsible for setting the firm's investment outlook and the translation into portfolio strategy. Adam is also a member of the Risk Committee. In his role, Adam heads Breckinridge's municipal research efforts, contributes regular thought leadership and performs municipal credit analysis. Adam also oversees Breckinridge's systems for monitoring holdings and analyzing credit trends. He has been with the firm since 2009 and has over 14 years of industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Adam was the chief financial and policy analyst for Connecticut's Association of Towns and Cities. Adam has published two academic journal articles on the history of Connecticut's personal income tax and state budget, and his writing on municipal insolvency and public pension law has appeared in The Bond Buyer. Adam holds a B.A. from Amherst College, a J.D. from the University of Connecticut, and an M.P.A. from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
