There are many factors to keep in mind when running the speed test. The speed at which information travels across the Internet is dependent on many factors, and this test may not reveal any of the links that cause performance degradation. The line speed measured by this test should be used as a starting point to look for bottlenecks, and to set reasonable expectations of PSW performance. If the Internet connection is established using a modem, confirm the modem used meets the minimum speed of at least 56k.
