The Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT), Women in Blockchain, and Women in Fintech are pleased to invite you to a special event hosted by Fidelity Investments in celebration of Women's History Month. We believe that it is important to recognize and highlight the contributions of women in the field, and this event aims to do just that. This panel discussion will focus on various topics related to the Blockchain ecosystem and the experiences of our panelists. Their insights and experiences will provide valuable knowledge and inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs and enthusiasts alike.

You should expect to hear:

MEET OUR PANELISTS

Cynthia Lo Bessette, Head of Digital Asset Management at Fidelity, Moderator

Cynthia Lo Bessette is head of Fidelity’s Digital Asset Management division where she has oversight and responsibility for setting the strategy and priorities for Fidelity’s digital asset investment platform offering investment products and advisory services designed to meet the growing needs of Fidelity’s retail customers and intermediary and institutional clients. Ms. Lo Bessette leads the teams responsible for the management of the digital asset investment framework and research agenda, including evaluation of blockchain protocols, infrastructure, and financial applications. In addition, she leads the teams responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing management of digital asset investment capabilities and investment products and the supporting operating infrastructure, and new business development.

Jessica Van Meir, Co-Founder & COO at MintStars, Panelist

Jessica has advocated for marginalized groups her entire life. Currently a PhD student at Harvard and a former Gates Cambridge Scholar, she's spent 7 years researching sex workers' rights. She's also worked for multiple women's rights and trans rights organizations, including a feminist law firm where she worked with survivors of image-based sexual abuse, workplace discrimination, and sex trafficking.

Nicole D'Avis, Founder at ENiD Co., Panelist

Nicole is founder of ENiD Co., a consulting company that advises on business development, go-to-market and strategic direction with teams including Hats Protocol, Gitcoin / Public Goods Network and Arsnl Art, and most recently joining the team at Webslingers. As Co-Creator of Seed Club, an Internet Native Accelerator backed by top funds including USV and IDEO CoLab, Nicole worked closely with over 100 top builders from Boys Club, Water & Music, Cabin, Krause House, Poolsuite, Refraction, Metalabel and Pussy Riot. Previously, as the Managing Director of Berklee's Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship, she led the Open Music Initiative, a music tech industry consortium, and co-founded RAIDAR, a blockchain based music licensing platform built by and for Berklee students. Nicole’s speaking engagements include Consensus, Mainnet, MIT-Forbes Imagination in Action at the 2020 World Economic Forum in Davos and the Unclaimed Royalties Symposium at the U.S. Library of Congress.

Hannah Shen, Founder at Next.ID, Panelist

Hannah Shen is the co-president of MIT Sloan Blockchain Club and Strategic Partnerships and Research Associate at MIT Digital Currency Initiative. She was the founding member of Next.ID, a decentralized identity protocol across Web2 & Web3, and worked as a technical product manager for Amazon healthcare security team. As early business and product hire, she grew two media-tech startups in Silicon Valley from zero to one with successful further fundraise / exit. Hannah holds B.A. from Harvard University and MBA with Analytics certificate from MIT.
