Upgrades/Downgrades displays a comprehensive list of analyst stock rating changes (upgrades and downgrades), as well as updates on new stocks analysts are covering (coverage initiated), and updates on on stocks analyst no longer cover (coverage dropped). Select the Latest Activity tab to review the most recent updates, or the Upgrades, Downgrades, Coverage Initiated, and Coverage Dropped tabs to review updates for the last 30 days.
Analyst upgrades/downgrades can help individual investors get insight into what professional investors think about a particular stock. Often, when an influential analyst changes his or her rating on a stock, it tends to influence the price of that stock: an upgrade (e.g., from "hold" to "buy") tends to send the price higher, while a downgrade (e.g., from "hold" to "sell") tends to send the price lower. Use this information in conjunction with stock research analysis and the monitoring tools available on Fidelity.com to help you determine whether or not to buy or sell a stock you hold in your portfolio, or are watching on your watch list.

To view the 30-day history of upgrades, downgrades, coverages initiated, or coverages dropped:
Click a column heading to sort the upgrades, downgrades, coverage initiated, or coverage dropped list by that column. Click the column heading again to sort in reverse order.
When a firm no longer reports on a stock (i.e., it "drops coverage" on it), the firm typically reports this to Investars, the third-party company that provides this information to Fidelity, or makes this information available via public sources. Once Investars receives news that a firm has dropped its coverage of a particular stock, the information is updated on Fidelity.com.
