General Program Information
Q. What is the benefit of being in the No Transaction Fee (NTF) Program?
A. Participating in the FundsNetwork No Transaction Fee (NTF) program makes your funds appealing to our Retail customers and to fee-based Investment Advisors. Retail Brokerage customers tend to be fee sensitive, and therefore almost exclusively purchase NTF funds. Currently, almost 70% of the assets held in the Retail channel are in NTF funds, and more than 90% of net sales go into NTF funds.

Fee-based Advisors (R.I.A.'s) are primarily interested in no-fee products. These allow them to charge an advisory fee to their clients, yet keep the overall cost to the investor low. Like the Retail channel, the majority of assets and net sales go into NTF funds. Participation in the Advisor NTF program also makes your funds eligible for our Portfolio Advisory ServiceSM "wrap" program, a service for High Net Worth clients. Being part of the NTF program also grants you access to valuable advisor-level reporting.

Q. Who is my Relationship Manager? How can I contact my Relationship Manager?
A. Your FundsNetwork Relationship Manager is your primary contact here at Fidelity. To identify your Relationship Manager, click on the Program Info tab of FundsNetwork.com and then select Contact Info as shown below. Your Relationship Manager's name, address, email address and photo will be displayed on the left hand side of the screen.

You can contact your Relationship Manager directly from FundsNetwork.com by using the Email Us feature on the right hand side of the Contact Info screen.

FundsNetwork.com >> Gaining Site Access
Q. How do I get access to FundsNetwork.com? Who is my password Administrator?
A. All companies that participate in the FundsNetwork program are eligible to use FundsNetwork.com. In order to gain access to the site, we require that your company appoints a password Administrator. The password Administrator is responsible for managing the access to FundsNetwork.com for any individuals at your company that want to use the site. He or she has the ability to (1) setup new users, (2) reset passwords, and (3) delete the access of those users who no longer require access to the site. Individuals interested in gaining access to FundsNetwork.com should contact their password Administrator for a username and password.

To find out if your company has a password Administrator, and who that person is, please contact FundsNetwork, at: fndsntwrkx@fmr.com.

FundsNetwork.com >> Using Transactions: the Real-Time Trade Activity (R.T.T.A.) System.
Q. Where can I find information about using the Real-Time Trade Activity (R.T.T.A.) system?
A. Go to the Transactions tab, then choose the Guidelines link. There you will find detailed instructions on using the Real-Time Trade Activity (R.T.T.A.) system.

FundsNetwork.com >> System Errors
Q. When attempting to send a request from the Trade Restriction tab, I get the following message: "Systems Error." Why is this happening and what should I do?
A. This error typically results from the inclusion of an illegal character in the Additional Comments field. This field will not accept several characters, including the following: < > ' " ( ) & @ ! # * + % (and more). Please try resubmitting your request using only letters, numbers, and the period (.) for punctuation. If the error still occurs, please contact the FundsNetwork.com Help Desk.
Q. When I attempt to download a report, I get the following message: "No Data Available." What does this mean?
A. The message No Data Available means that your fund company does not participate in the program for which you are trying to retrieve a report. Therefore, this report does not apply to your company.

FundsNetwork.com >> Reporting
Q. What type of reporting is available for my fund company?
A. There are currently 21 active reports available on FundsNetwork.com, each reporting a unique set of information. The reports are segmented by distribution channel: Brokerage (includes Retail, Correspondents, Advisors, TPA and Trust Companies), Retirement and Strategic Advisers, and report a variety of information such as Purchases, Redemptions, Net Sales, Positions & Assets. The level of reporting varies by report - currently, information can be obtained at such levels as: CUSIP, Broker/Dealer, Advisor, Plan ID, etc.

All fund companies have access to the Brokerage (general) & Correspondent reports (#'s 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 27). All other reports are made available only to those fund companies that are distributing their funds through these three remaining channels: Advisors/TPA/Trust are limited to those companies participating in the NTF program only (exception: firms that are not participating in the NTF program but are participating in the RFN program will have access to the weekly and monthly TPA reports), Retirement & Strategic Advisers. Please note: Participation in the Retirement & Strategic Advisers (PAS) programs is very limited, and usually by invitation only.
Q. What does the term "Participating Assets" mean?
A. Participating Assets refer to those assets that are currently held in our No Transaction Fee (NTF) program.
Q. I know our funds are sold through the Advisor channel, but none of the Advisor reports are available to me. Why can't I access Advisor reports?
A. The Advisor reports only report data for those companies that participate in our No Transaction Fee (NTF) program.
Q. Our fund was included on the Strategic Advisers reports (#'s 15 & 16) last month, but this month it no longer appears on the reports, why not?
A. Strategic Advisers creates portfolios of mutual funds for our Portfolio Advisory Servicesm. These are referred to as "model" portfolios. Periodically, the mutual funds included in these model portfolios are re-evaluated, causing some funds to be removed and replaced with other funds. The Strategic Advisers reports only show activity for those funds that are currently held in one of the model portfolios, regardless if a fund still has assets in this channel. If a fund is no longer being reported on the Strategic Advisers report, it is an indication that the fund has been removed from its model portfolio. These reallocations are typically communicated by the Strategic Advisers Analyst well in advance of the reallocation taking place. Specific questions regarding a reallocation should be directed to your analyst.
Q. Your Correspondent reports provide the Registered Rep. Numbers, but how do I find out the names and/or addresses of these Reps?
A. This information can only be obtained by contacting the individual Broker/Dealer and requesting a Registered Representative report from them.
Q. When I attempt to download a report, I get the following message: "No Data Available." What does this mean?
A. The message "No Data Available" means that your fund company does not participate in the program for which you are trying to retrieve a report. Therefore, this report does not apply to your company.
Q. How often are the reports updated?
A. The majority of the FundsNetwork.com reports are updated monthly. Many of the reports listed under the Brokerage heading use our Brokerage month end for reporting purposes. This reporting period ends on the last Friday of each month. All other monthly reports use a traditional calendar month end for reporting purposes.

Reports using Brokerage month-end: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12

Reports using calendar month-end: 9, 15, 16, 19, 20, 22, 29, 31, 33
Q. On what day will the reports be updated?
A. The calendar below shows the date on which each report will be updated for each reporting month.

Fund Maintenance
Q. How do I add a new fund to the FundsNetwork program?
A. In order to add a fund to the FundsNetwork program, the following requirements must be met:

  1. The fund must be Fund/SERV eligible.
  2. The fund must be an open-end mutual fund.
  3. You must complete and submit a New Fund Fact form.
  4. If adding a new share class of an existing fund, you must contact your Relationship Manager.
For questions regarding applicable fees, please consult your FundsNetwork agreement, on file at your firm. Based on volumes at National Financial Services, fund additions may take 3-5 business days.
Q. Who do I inform if my fund is being Renamed, Merged or Liquidated?
A. It is important to contact National Financial Services (N.F.S.) well in advance of these events. You can contact N.F.S. at 1-866-755-6372 or by email at: fundnotices@fmr.com.
Q. How do we implement a redemption fee on our fund through Fidelity?
A. Implementing a redemption fee on your fund does not mean Fidelity/N.F.S. will automatically charge it. The redemption fee must also be implemented by N.F.S. for it to be effective at Fidelity.

If your fund is Networked, your Transfer Agent will track and assess the redemption fee for your fund. If your fund trades in an Omnibus environment, Fidelity (N.F.S.) will track and assess the redemption fee. In either case, you must contact N.F.S. to implement the fee. You can contact N.F.S. at 1-866-755-6372 or by email at: fundnotices@fmr.com.

Fidelity.com
Q. Why is our fund not being displayed on Fidelity.com?
A. In order for a FundsNetwork fund to be displayed on Fidelity.com, it must meet the following criteria:
  1. The fund must have a permanent trading symbol (ticker).
  2. The fund must be covered/reported by Morningstar. A large amount of the data displayed on Fidelity.com pertaining to FundsNetwork funds is obtained from Morningstar. If a fund's information has not been provided to and/or updated by Morningstar, the fund will not be displayed on Fidelity.com. It is very important that you verify with Morningstar that your fund's information is updated and accurate.
Please note: While a fund may be missing from the Fidelity.com listing, it can still be purchased via the web provided that (1) the fund is available for sale through the FundsNetwork program, and (2) the customer knows the trading symbol of the fund. The fund will also be eligible for sale through Fidelity's other channels, such as through a representative or by using the telephone.

In the event of a CUSIP or trading symbol change, please notify Fidelity's National Financial Services (NFS) by phone at 1-866-755-6372 or by email at fundnotices@fmr.com. Please also notify Morningstar directly.
Q. Some of the information displayed about our fund is incorrect. How do I get this updated?
A. The majority of the information regarding your fund is provided to Fidelity by Morningstar. In order to update any of this information, please contact Morningstar directly. However, a few fund details are not supplied by Morningstar. You can have these updated by contacting your FundsNetwork Relationship Manager. They are listed here, along with their location in the fund information pages on Fidelity.com:

Order Cutoff Time (Fund Facts)
Minimum Initial Investment (Features)
Minimum Retirement (Features)
Minimum Additional Investment (Features)
Minimum Automatic Account Builder (Features)
Q. How do my funds become part of "Fund Picks from Fidelity"?
A. Fund Picks from FidelitySM is a service available at Fidelity.com that selects top-performing funds, displayed by Morningstar Investment Category, from the more than 4,500 mutual funds available in FundsNetwork.

The universe of funds available for consideration in Fund Picks from Fidelity comprises two groups: (1) Fidelity Funds and (2) FundsNetwork funds which are available at Fidelity without paying a transaction fee.

The Fidelity Funds and FundsNetwork funds are independently screened by Strategic Advisers to include only those funds with assets of $300 million or more. The funds are further screened to include only those funds that have a minimum of three years' performance history and the highest three-year risk-adjusted return (Sharpe Ratio) within their respective Morningstar Investment Category. Finally, the Morningstar foreign stock category is screened to include only those funds that invest primarily in equity securities of issuers located outside the United States. The results of this screen are displayed within each investment category in two lists: (1) a list of up to five Fidelity mutual funds and (2) a list of up to five FundsNetwork mutual funds. Keep in mind that the Fidelity funds are drawn from a smaller universe than the FundsNetwork funds.

To view a sample of Fund Picks from Fidelity, please go to www.fidelity.com.
