Jacob Weinstein is a senior analyst, asset allocation research in the Global Asset Allocation (GAA) group at Fidelity Investments. Fidelity Investments is a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing and other financial products and services to more than 20 million individuals, institutions and financial intermediaries. In this role, Jake is a member of the Asset Allocation Research Team (AART), which conducts economic, fundamental, and quantitative research to develop asset allocation recommendations for Fidelity's portfolio managers and investment teams. AART is responsible for analyzing and synthesizing investment perspectives across Fidelity's asset management unit to generate insights on macroeconomic and financial market trends and their implications for asset allocation.
Prior to assuming his current role in September 2013, Jake was an investment director in the Institutional Portfolio Management group from 2011 to 2013, and a senior portfolio analyst in the Investment Analysis Group from 2008 to 2011. Before joining Fidelity in 2008, he worked as a trust officer at LaSalle Bank from 2002 to 2007, and as a portfolio administrator at State Street from 1999 to 2001. He has been in the investments industry since 1999.
Jake earned his bachelor of arts degree in quantitative economics from Tufts University and his master of business administration degree in analytic finance, economics, and econometrics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
