  • Do I need to have a new debit card sent to me?

    We do not require you to update your debit card. Your existing card will remain valid and active; however, store merchants may decline the card if the name on it is different from your identification. The same applies to ordering new checks. While your old checks will remain valid, it's a good idea to order new checks in order to avoid issues with merchants. You will need to provide an updated signature card when you order checks to ensure the safety of your account.

  • Will my name change appear on my joint accounts?

    We change all accounts associated with your Social Security number, which will include any joint accounts. Name changes to accounts with checkwriting require all account owners (even if only one name has changed) to submit and sign a new checkwriting form.
