That should be disclosed prior to taking the time to set up banking information only to be told the amount cannot exceed the $400 limit. Also, there's no ability to set spending and fraud alerts. It is difficult to view activity, make payments, redeem rewards and etc. If you are expecting at Fidelity.com-like experience to manage this credit card, you will be very disappointed. Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy Like Sunday Morning Just as the other reviewers have stated this card is a real winner. I have been using this card for nearly every purchase over the past 3 years and its amazing how quickly the 2% cash back grows into a $50 cash deposit into your Fidelity account. The only downside I have found and this is very recent, is that it is not approved through ApplePay. For me, being able to use this AMEX on ApplePay would just make it that much more convenient. Customer service is handled through FIA card services and my experiences with them have been average at best. November 20, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Security algorithm stinks I have had persistent problems with charges being declined, some overseas, some out of state and some around the corner at the drug store I have used for 20 years. In case no one has noticed air travel is cheap and people travel outside the US, the interstates have been around for years allowing easy movement around the US and in the north east travel from one state to another is not unusual given their proximity. What is the point of having a credit card which gets declined because I am lunching in CT rather than NY? Have wasted inordinate amounts of time trying to get this resolved but nothing changes. Rated 1 out of 5 by Nice features but more trouble than it is worth Because of the generous cash back aspects, I have used this card for several years in spite of recurrent problems with FIA's security monitoring system which periodically locks my card---resulting in inconvenience, frustration, and time wasted. I use three other cards (one of which is AMEX so it is not an AMEX problem but an FIA Services problem) and have NEVER had similar issues. November 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Superior in most respects Every price out there has the cost of doing business with the credit card companies embedded within it. Cash back cards let you recapture some of that. Why this card? + liquid, spendable, value-defined CASH, not points or miles or seashells + automatic sweep MONTHLY to your account. No annual waits, no $50 increments, no BS + 2% cash back matches or exceeds every other card I've been able to find. - AMEX is not accepted everywhere. A Visa or MC with the same terms would be truly superior. As it is I carry this card AND another for vendors who don't take AMEX. November 17, 2014

I an used to first rate service from Fidelity, but FIA Cardservices is providing among the worst service I have experienced in my life. Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't use if you travel overseas! I travel overseas often and ever time it gets declined. Card services says they are "protecting" you but in reality they are protecting themselves. You'll spend 15 mins speaking with card services to get your approval. By then I'm late for a meeting. No time for this silliness. Will cancel after this trip. I have brought this up numerous times but to no avail. November 16, 2014

Especially the feature(s) that my other AMEX cards have that allow emails/text-messages to be sent upon any/all transactions. Totally skimmed down so not much by way of site capabilities or features but it gets the job done nicely and has probably the best cash back rewards out there. At the end of the day, this works great since cust service is strong, fraud detection is evident and you can get all the bells & whistles just by connecting with a free service like Mint.com November 11, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Great Rewards, Service Needs Improvement The card reward program is the best in the industry just as advertised. I have had issues with the card being rejected when I travel to a different US city and try and use the card. Keeps happening and customer service has been poor in resolving the problem. A card I can't use when I travel is not worth much to me since I travel all the time. My other credit cards outside of Fidelity do not have this issue. November 3, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by If it weren't for the 2% back, I'd never use it I solely signed up for this card because of the 2% back and auto redemption and deposit into 529 plans for my kids. I've been a long time American Express customer and figured the service would be of the same quality, if not identical. Not only isn't it the same, it is marginal at best, it reminds me of the worst Visa/MasterCard cards I've had in the past. The website is terrible, while they've improved the look in 2014, there is no improvement in functionality. Using Quicken to download data can only be done after the monthly statement closes, and moving through and back pages is disjointed due to multiple windows and a frequent lack of a "back" option. Lastly I've twice had to dispute charges on my card to which FIA Card Services, who runs the card, is of no help and a frequent roadblock. Why tell me to resolve it on my own, if I could do that I wouldn't be asking you for help? A real Amex card wouldn't do that. November 3, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Miserable customer service Get this card at your own peril. I saw the reviews prior to applying and should have heeded the warnings about the awful service provided by FIA Card Services. I figured it wouldn't be that bad...and after three months of being a cardholder severely regret that miscalculation. Since activating my card it has been nothing but a huge headache. Rejected $90 in charges one week into being an account holder at Target due to "lack of compatibility with my spending patterns." Ok, minor inconvenience, but at that point I didn't have any spending patterns so I'm not sure how the fraud protection systems are monitoring the account at that point. Regardless, that should be easy to fix, right? You'd think. It took 30 minutes of time on hold and another 10 minutes with the agent just to restore the ability to use the card. All of my other cards allow me to do this automatically with a phone call or by logging into the website. Pain in the rear... Online access? Constantly broken, severely limited functionality, frequent issues. Making online payments? Cumbersome and difficult to set up initially. After one month they decide to terminate my card and re-issue as a new number. During that time there was a three-day period when I couldn't make my payment online, conveniently in the days leading up to the payment being due. So I mailed it my check immediately after being unable to log on. It arrives one day late, so of course the late fee is slapped on and interest charged. I call to explain the circumstance and am told it is all my fault and shouldn't be expecting to make payments online. Customer service via the phone? Horrendous. Unfortunately, this card requires that you contact them frequently since it is nothing but problems. The reward points are nice but everything else about this card is one massive headache. I strongly encourage you not to get this card and look elsewhere. November 3, 2014

When fraud is suspected, the team will call on a hit and miss basis..Usually the card ends up declined. Almost all internet purchases result in a decline, airlines, Amazon etc, we need to use VISA. Our account has always been paid in full and the service is very week when compared to Visa The phone staff at other services is more responsive and better to deal with. October 28, 2014

Having an AMEX card that earns 2% across the board AND can be readily deposited in a fidelity non-retirement account is my cup of tea!
