BOSTON -- Fidelity Investments® (Fidelity) today announced it has developed an iPad® app for independent advisors and family office professionals using Fidelity WealthCentral®, the industry-leading integrated, open technology platform.

Available as a free download from the App Store, the new app extends the WealthCentral® mobile strategy to allow advisors and family office professionals to place domestic equity, ETF and mutual fund orders on behalf of their clients, and access client account balances, holdings and transaction activity from the convenience of their iPads.

“We are applying our experience as an innovator in mobile trading and investing to deliver the very best mobile tools available,” said Edward O’Brien, senior vice president and head of technology, Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services and Fidelity Family Office Services. “This is all part of our ongoing commitment to helping our clients and their customers leverage technology to become more efficient, productive and connected with their investments, which is even more critical in today’s volatile markets.”

The WealthCentral iPad app allows advisors and family office professionals to work across all of their accounts or isolate one account -- just like in a desktop setting. Other features include the ability to:
• Place domestic equity, ETF and mutual fund orders1
• View the status of orders across clients’ accounts
• Access clients’ account profile, balances and holdings
• Check account positions and transaction activity
• View, search and filter key alerts in advance of a client visit
• Stay ahead of the markets with stock quotes and breaking third-party news stories
• Customize preferences to fit the way the advisor works

“We see the iPad as a must-have device for investment professionals on the go and an
opportunity to stay connected to our clients and their investment portfolios at all times,” said
Thomas M. Roche, vice president of operations and client service director, Reynders, McVeigh
Capital Management, LLC, who participated in the user test group for the new WealthCentral
iPad app. “What’s great about the WealthCentral app is its simplicity. Being able to quickly
access client accounts in the same way we do on our desktops and with the same level of security
-- and execute a strategy from anywhere, anytimei -- allows us to improve our overall efficiency
and deliver a better experience to our clients.”ii

Investors who work with registered investment advisors (RIAs) on Fidelity’s brokerage platform or are clients of Fidelity Family Office Services have access to their accounts through Fidelity’s newly updated iPad app for investors.

Fidelity WealthCentral is the industry’s first Web-based, open technology platform offering integration with market-leading third-party applications in areas such as portfolio management, financial planning, customer relationship management (CRM), document management, and portfolio modeling and rebalancing. The WealthCentral iPhone app has already received nearly 4,000 downloads since being introduced in February 2011.
